Bastion Point Boat Ramp, Mallacoota

Bastion Point is a rocky headland that shelters the entrance to Mallacoota Inlet from the prevailing southwesterly winds. Tucked behind the Point is a boat ramp that gives access to the ocean. Popular with boat owners, surfers, swimmers and those that like to peruse the rock pools for aquatic life.

When sea conditions are suitable, you can see the Abalone boats being launched early in the morning, generally returning mid afternoon.

The car park above the ramp provides good views of the Point and views along Big Beach towards Cape Howe and Tullaberga and Gabo Islands.
