The lovely Timber Bridge at the Genoa Township was replaced some years ago by a wider, longer concrete structure slightly downstream. The local community not only managed to persuade government not to destroy the old bridge but also raised funds to restore it to its present condition. Under the bridge is a popular swimming hole and sandy beach. |
