Unique, Energy Efficient Home on Acreage

The 2 bedroom house was completed in 2013 and built with energy efficiency in mind. It is oriented 12.5 degrees off North to maximise warmth in Winter and minimise heat in Summer. It has the bedrooms along the southern side of the house with the living area and kitchen on the north for energy efficiency. It has a 3kw solar system on the roof and a 10,000 litre water tank that services the entire house and vegetable patch in the rear yard. It has a water filtration system under the sink to provide clean drinking water from the water tank.
The house was also finished with health in mind with additional soil testing undertaken to assess for stored chemicals in the soil which passed and is acceptable for organic gardening. Since this we have taken every length to avoid any chemicals including only using recycled hardwood timbers throughout, using food safe natural oils to seal flooring and benches, all paint used on the property is 100% VOC free and we always used natural products while we lived in it.
